Delete your Unplugg account
This page explains how to request deletion of your Unplugg account and the data associated with it.
Quickest way
Email us and we’ll handle the rest.
How to request deletion
- Send an email to unplugg.app@gmail.com from the email address associated with your Unplugg account.
- Use the subject line “Account & data deletion request”.
- In the body of the email, include the email address (or sign-in identifier) tied to your Unplugg account so we can locate it. You may also share your approximate sign-up date and the device(s) you use, if helpful.
- We’ll confirm receipt and verify ownership of the account before we proceed.
- Once verified, we’ll delete or de-identify your account and associated data within 30 days, and send you a confirmation email when it’s done.
If you only want to stop using Unplugg, you can also uninstall the app from your device. Uninstalling alone does not delete account data stored on our systems — please use the steps above to request deletion.
What data is deleted
When your deletion request is processed, we delete or irreversibly de-identify the following data tied to your account:
- Account information — email address, sign-in identifiers, and profile details.
- App settings & preferences — goals, reminders, schedules, focus sessions, and other in-app configuration.
- Usage history — screen-time insights, productivity history, streaks, and other activity records linked to your account.
- Permissions-based data — any usage, notification, or device-level data we stored to provide features you enabled.
- Support correspondence — messages you sent us about your account, once they are no longer needed for the request.
What data may be kept, and for how long
A limited amount of information may be retained after deletion when we are required or permitted to keep it. This includes:
- Subscription & transaction records — basic billing records (such as plan type, renewal dates, and transaction IDs) retained for up to 7 years to comply with tax, accounting, and consumer-protection laws. We do not store full payment card details — those are handled by the app store or payment processor.
- Security & fraud-prevention logs — minimal logs (such as abuse signals or device tokens flagged for misuse) retained for up to 12 months to protect users and the Service.
- Aggregated or de-identified data — data that no longer identifies you may be retained indefinitely for analytics and product improvement.
- Legal records — information we are required to keep to comply with a legal obligation, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements, retained only as long as necessary.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a subscription managed by the app store. To cancel a subscription, please use the Subscriptions section of your Google Play or App Store account. Refunds, where applicable, are handled by the app store under its policies.
