Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Unplugg mobile application and related services (“App” or “Services”). Unplugg is a productivity tool designed to help users reduce screen time, build healthier device habits, and review their usage patterns. By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least the age of majority in your jurisdiction, or have the permission of a parent or legal guardian where allowed by law, to use the App. If you use the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
2. Accounts and access
Some features may require you to create an account or sign in through a supported provider. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to promptly update it if it changes.
3. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App for your personal, non-commercial use on devices you own or control. This license does not transfer any ownership rights in the App or its content.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the App in violation of law or third-party rights, or to harass, abuse, or harm others.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except where prohibited by law.
- Interfere with or disrupt the App, servers, or networks connected to the App.
- Circumvent any security or usage limits we put in place.
5. Productivity insights and screen-time information
Unplugg may display screen-time information, usage trends, productivity insights, goals, reminders, and similar features based on the information available from your device, permissions, and activity within the App. You understand that these features are informational only and may not always be complete, error-free, or available in real time.
6. Subscriptions and payments
Unplugg may offer auto-renewing subscription plans billed on a monthly or yearly basis. Paid subscriptions unlock premium features for the billing period shown to you at the time of purchase.
- Billing is typically processed by the Apple App Store, Google Play, or another authorized payment provider, and their billing terms also apply.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date through the platform or provider used for purchase.
- If you cancel, you will generally retain access to premium features through the end of the current paid period, unless otherwise required by the platform.
- Refunds, if any, are subject to the rules of the purchase platform and applicable law.
- We may change subscription pricing or plan features in the future. Any changes will apply prospectively and, where required, only after notice to you.
7. User data and retention
To operate the App, we may retain account information, app usage data, settings, support communications, subscription status, and other data as described in our Privacy Policy. We retain data for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce these Terms.
Deleting the App from your device does not automatically delete your account or stored data. If you would like your account or personal data deleted, contact us at unplugg.app@gmail.com, and we will handle the request in accordance with applicable law and our Privacy Policy.
8. Third-party services
The App may integrate with third-party services such as authentication providers, hosting providers, analytics tools, notification services, app stores, and payment processors. Your use of those services may also be subject to their own terms, policies, and privacy practices.
9. Intellectual property
The App, including its software, branding, text, graphics, interfaces, and other content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except for the limited license granted in these Terms, you receive no rights in the App or our content.
10. Disclaimers
THE APP AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
Unplugg is a productivity and habit-support tool. It is not a medical, mental health, or emergency service, and it is not a guarantee that your screen time or productivity outcomes will improve.
11. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR THE APP WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS (US $50), UNLESS APPLICABLE LAW REQUIRES OTHERWISE.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms, misuse the Services, create legal risk for us or others, or if we discontinue some or all of the App. You may stop using the App at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect after termination.
13. Changes to the App or Terms
We may change, update, suspend, or discontinue any part of the App at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated Terms on this page and revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the App after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the operator of Unplugg is established, without regard to conflict of law rules, unless mandatory law in your jurisdiction requires otherwise. If a dispute arises, the parties agree to first try to resolve it informally by contacting unplugg.app@gmail.com.
